1. Worship
Wholehearted Worship
We shall love the Lord our God with all of our heart, with all of our soul, with all of our mind and with all of our strength. (Mark 12:30)
God's Manifested Presence
God's presence is felt and realized within our church. We believe that there is a presence of God available to His people. We wait to responds to God's presence through energetic and passionate worship.
Holy Spirit Superintendence
The Holy Spirit is always welcome and operating in the lives of every believer. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, as evidenced by the speaking in tongues and the gifts of the Holy Spirit will continue to be part and parcel of our basic belief system.
2. Discipleship
Bearing Christ-like traits
Belief that there is no substitute for a lack in godly character will continually be taught. We hold this value (Christ-like character) in the highest esteem and filter all other values through this belief. Uprightness, trustworthiness and transparency are our best foundation stones.
God's Word
Belief that the Bible is God's inspired Word, the authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for all Christians.
Daily walk of Holiness unto the Lord
Holiness is not legalism that is measured by outward appearance, but true cleansing of the believer by the power of the Holy Spirit, as evident in Christian character and conduct.
3. Evangelism
Individual
Every single person is important, because Christ has died for every one of them; therefore no person is undervalued, but loved and treasured.
The Great Commission
Be committed to the Great Commission. Going, wining and discipling will be our top priority. Mt 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8
4. Fellowship
Unity
Unity of Spirit and Principle, not conformity, is practiced. Unity expresses itself in a variety of ways, but still maintains the same principles and convictions so as to flow together in accomplishing the vision.
Agape Relationship
Agape love for each other is our goal. We endeavor to make this practical and practiced through small group called Home Cell Units (HCU). Each HCU member is motivated to develop mutually deep and meaningful relationship, the fruit of which would be accountability and encouragement.
Importance of the Family
Commitment to strong family units will be a strong emphasis; it shall continually be preached, taught and counseled. The belief is that a strong family makes a strong church.
5. Ministry
Fervent Prayer
The chorus of prayer is heard, as we pray aloud in unison during our pre-service prayer times, small group prayer and corporate prayer. This principle of prayer is believed to be engine to power all church life. Individual praying and fasting are continually encouraged.
Excellence
God deserves our best. For this reason, we seek to maintain a high quality of excellence in everything connected to the work of the Kingdom of God.
Influence of the Kingdom of God
Believers at the Emmanuel would live as Kingdom people, as the biblical 'salt and light' within the prevailing cultures that we dwell in. We want to influence the political, the social and the educational environs with our godliness, powered by the Spirit and Word of God.
