The young adults’ (YA) ministry was inaugurated in May 2006, in the event of a highly anticipated multiplication of Champions for Christ (CFC), which was to cater more effectively to the needs of youth between the ages of 17 to 25. This specific season has seen the loss of many young adults to the world due to the attractions and distractions luring them away from the true God. This phenomenon has been termed the “black hole” to denote the people who walk away from the light into the darkness of their culture and circumstance. Today’s young adults grow up in a world which constantly battles for their attention and where values and standards are dismissed. In a world that celebrates corruption and promiscuity, the lines between what is right and wrong have become increasingly blurred.
Thus, this ministry exists to build up a generation of God-fearing young adults with standards who will dare to be a point of difference in their schools, workplaces and homes. With God’s guidance and anointing, this young adults’ ministry will reach out and bring hope to a generation that is hurting and lost.
