Our Mission

We believe in living out Matthew 28:19-20- making disciples of all nation and baptising them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Great Commission and want to see people transformed by the love of God.

A Family Church That Cares

Our story began in 1958, in a rented single-storey terrace house at 25 Everitt Road. We were part of Elim Church and was called Elim Chapel. We adopted the name "Emmanuel Assembly of God" in 1969, when the church became affiliated to the Assemblies of God in Singapore.

As the Lord added new souls to Emmanuel, the church soon outgrew its facilities and, from 1980, it became necessary to meet at rented halls for Sunday morning services.

The Lord provided for our growing needs, and the present site at 165 Upper East Coast Road, then a single-storey building, was purchased in August 1985.

The Lord continued to bless the church, and soon, we had to hold multiple services to cater to the growing congregation. In 1996, the property was demolished to make way for a new four-storey building.

After just 17 months of construction, the new church building was officially opened on April 18, 1998. This spelled another phase of development in the life of Emmanuel.

Our Core Values

Honour

We are a generational church that HONOURs. We believe in esteeming all others above selves, regardless of age, race and background. We lift high the Name of Jesus and pass on legacies. Love is the pre requisite to HONOUR. (Philippians 2:3, Psalm 145:4)

Excellence

We believe in doing everything excellently because it is for Jesus and He deserves our best. EXCELLENCE attracts people and HONOURs God. (Ecclesiastes 9:10a)

Accountability

We believe in being trustworthy in all we have been given. ACCOUNTABILITY to God and one another, displaying character and integrity at every turn. We believe in sharing life within a community, to look out for one another and protect each other. (1 Corinthians 4:2)

Radical Love

We believe that RADICAL Love is at the heart of Christianity. We exist to live out the RADICAL Love of Christ unconditionally. RADICAL Love is inclusive and overrides all differences that seek to divide. (1 John 3:16-18)

Transformational Power
We believe in the TRANSFORMATIONAL Power and love of God to change lives. All that we do is geared towards providing others with opportunities to meet with our life-changing God. No heart is too hard and no mistake is too great for God. (2 Corinthians 3:16, 18, 2 Corinthians 5:17)
