The book of Jonah is not just about a prophet who ran away. It is a mirror that reveals the state of every human heart. Jonah’s story begins with rebellion, moves through repentance, and ends with God’s question that still hangs over us all: “Should I not pity them?”

Across four short chapters, we see the mercy of God confronting pride, exposing hypocrisy, and extending compassion to the undeserving. Jonah’s journey from flight to frustration shows that knowing God is not the same as being transformed by Him. The God who saved a rebellious prophet and a wicked city still reaches out to a world resistant to His love.
